Safeguarding
Code of Conduct
This page outlines the standards of behaviour expected across Christ Liquid Fire Ministry so that our church remains a safe, respectful, caring, and Christ-centred community for everyone.
Our Commitment
How We Live Together
Everyone involved in church life, including trustees, pastors, volunteers, members, and visitors, should help protect a culture of dignity, accountability, and care. This code supports safer working practices and respectful conduct in worship, ministry, outreach, and community activities.
Respect and dignity
Treat every person with kindness, patience, fairness, and compassion, recognising their worth and avoiding language or behaviour that is intimidating, degrading, discriminatory, or harmful.
Safe and responsible conduct
Act with integrity, maintain appropriate boundaries, follow safeguarding procedures, raise concerns promptly, and support a church environment where wellbeing and accountability are taken seriously.
Expected Standards
The following principles provide practical guidance for conduct across church activities and safeguarding-related responsibilities.
Conduct
Personal behaviour
Those serving or participating in church life should model honesty, humility, self-control, and respect in person, online, and in all ministry settings.
Safeguarding
Care for others
Children, young people, and adults at risk must be treated with special care, with concerns taken seriously and safer practices followed consistently.
Leadership
Shared responsibility
Trustees, pastors, staff, and volunteers should understand their responsibilities, cooperate with oversight, and contribute to regular review and improvement.
