Safeguarding
Reporting Process
If you need to raise a safeguarding concern, please do so promptly and with care. Christ Liquid Fire Ministry is committed to receiving concerns respectfully, responding appropriately, and helping people understand the next steps.
How to report a concern
This page explains a simple reporting pathway for non-emergency safeguarding concerns. If someone is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical or police assistance, contact the appropriate emergency services without delay.
Step 1
Notice and record
If you witness, receive, or suspect a safeguarding concern, make a clear note of what you saw, heard, or were told. Keep to the facts, avoid leading questions, and record the concern as soon as possible.
Step 2
Report promptly
Share the concern through the churchโs safeguarding process as soon as possible. Concerns, disclosures, and allegations should be taken seriously and passed on without unnecessary delay to the appropriate church leadership or safeguarding contact.
Step 3
Respond with care
Those receiving a report should respond calmly, respectfully, and sensitively. The church should consider immediate safety, appropriate next steps, record-keeping, and whether outside agencies or specialist advice are needed.
Good practice
What to include
When making a report, provide enough detail to help the church understand the concern and respond appropriately. Share only relevant information and avoid speculation.
Helpful details
Include names, dates, locations, what happened, who was involved, and whether there is any immediate risk.
Important care
Do not promise secrecy. Explain that information may need to be shared with the right people so the concern can be handled safely and responsibly.
