    Master Your Emotions

Channeling your emotions correctly is important.

What you feel is real — your anger, frustration, pain, disappointment — all of it is valid. But what you do with those emotions can either make you or break you.

When you feel overwhelmingly angry or frustrated, remember this:

your next action will either validate or invalidate your emotions.

Because if you act irrationally, lose control, hurt someone, or end up getting hurt yourself, people rarely focus on what caused the situation. They focus on the outcome.

    That’s the harsh truth.

Even people who understand your pain will still judge the result of your actions more than the reason behind them. Society places emphasis on outcomes, not explanations.

So learn to channel your anger instead of letting it control you.

If you need to shout, shout — but don’t shout at someone.

If you need to hit something, hit a punching bag, go to a boxing gym, or release that energy on something inanimate — not a person.

Walk away from situations when you need to.

Choose silence, even when your emotions are demanding a reaction.

Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is pause instead of explode.

Being emotional does not make you weak.

Losing control of your emotions is what creates destruction.

Master your emotions before they master you.
