  • They Were Preparing Me

    They Were Preparing Me

When I was young, my teacher punished me for laughing in class.

My parents punished me for skipping school.

The police visited our school, giving speeches about why we should be good students.

The pastor preached until his voice grew dim, telling us to love one another.

Back then, I found all of them annoying.

    Restricting.

    Controlling.

I thought they were trying to stop me from enjoying life.

    Then I grew up.

After leaving school, my teacher no longer corrected my behavior or cared whether I was disruptive and argumentative.

My parents became older, tired, and no longer had the strength to monitor how serious I was about my future.

The police officer who once tried to inspire us now looked at me as someone who should already know right from wrong.

And the pastor… he still preaches until his voice fades, but now I see another side of his work — dedicating babies, comforting grieving families, and conducting funerals.

    That’s when I realized something:

None of them were trying to control me.

They were trying to prepare me.

Now I find myself doing the same things they once did.

Encouraging people not to give up.

Asking both young and old not to hurt each other.

Promoting peace, unity, discipline, and hope.

Growing up is realizing the people who corrected you were trying to stop the cycle before it reached you.

Now it’s our turn to continue the work.

  • Renew Your Mind: God Equipped You for Success

Renew Your Mind: God Equipped You for Success

    Renew Your Mind

God has not created you for defeat. He has equipped you with grace, wisdom, strength, and purpose to walk in success according to His will. When your mind is renewed by His Word, you begin to see yourself the way He sees you and step boldly into all He has prepared for you.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

    Romans 12:2

Many people struggle not because God has withheld good things from them, but because they still think from a place of fear, limitation, and past disappointment. The enemy often attacks the mind first, knowing that if he can control your thoughts, he can influence your actions. But God’s truth breaks every lie and gives you the confidence to move forward.

    You Are Equipped

    • God has given you wisdom to make sound decisions.
    • God has given you strength to endure challenges.
    • God has given you faith to believe for greater things.
    • God has given you His Spirit to guide your path.

Success in God is not only about material gain. It is about fulfilling His purpose, walking in obedience, and bearing fruit in every area of life. As you renew your mind daily through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship, your thinking begins to align with heaven’s perspective.

    Choose God’s Truth

Reject every thought that tells you that you are not enough, not ready, or not capable. In Christ, you are empowered. In Christ, you are called. In Christ, you are equipped for success. Let your words agree with God’s promises, and let your life reflect the victory He has already made available to you.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

    2 Timothy 1:7

Today, make a decision to renew your mind. Speak life over yourself. Meditate on God’s promises. Walk with confidence, knowing that the One who called you is faithful, and He has already equipped you for success.
