Safeguarding Policy

This Safeguarding Policy sets out the commitment of Christ Liquid Fire Ministry to provide a safe, caring, and supportive environment for all children, young people, and adults at risk who engage with the ministry. The church recognises its responsibility to protect all individuals from harm, abuse, neglect, exploitation, and inappropriate behaviour. 6. Code of Conduct

All leaders, staff, and volunteers are expected to:

  • Behave in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Avoid inappropriate physical, emotional, or spiritual conduct.
  • Never engage in abusive, manipulative, or exploitative behaviour.
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries.
  • Avoid private or isolated situations where safeguarding risks may arise.
  • Use church communication channels appropriately.
  • Report safeguarding concerns immediately.

7. Safeguarding Procedures

Any safeguarding concern, allegation, or disclosure must be reported immediately to the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) or church leadership.

The church will:

  • Listen carefully and respond sensitively.
  • Record concerns accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain secure safeguarding records.
  • Refer concerns to appropriate authorities where necessary.
  • Support victims, survivors, and affected individuals appropriately.

8. Designated Safeguarding Lead

The church shall appoint a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) responsible for:

  • Receiving safeguarding reports and concerns.

14. Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if legislation, guidance, or operational needs change.
